Help for sex and porn addiction

I Can’t Stop

Brad Salzman, LCSW, CSAT

You’ve said “never again” more times than you can count. Maybe it’s porn late at night. Maybe it’s hookups, apps, affairs, or paying for sex. Every time, you mean it. And every time, it comes back.

Meanwhile the secret takes more of your life. You delete histories. You keep track of what you’ve told whom. You might be single, dating, or married, and either way you’re tired of being two people.

You’re not the first person to tell me this

In my 25 years doing this work, I’ve heard it from men and women from many backgrounds. Shame tells you you’re the worst case. You’re not. You’re someone caught in a pattern that willpower alone hasn’t broken.

What changes when you stop doing this alone

Promises haven’t worked because a promise isn’t a plan. What helps is structure, honesty, and someone who has seen this many times and won’t flinch. A slip isn’t the end. It tells us what needs to change.

And if someone in your life has already found out, I also work with partners, separately.
